Dr. Sunil Abraham Thomas is an Assistant Professor in Economics in the Department of Economics. He works on Macroeconomic theory and practice, International Economics and Development economic theories. His research interests are in the fields of Development Economics and Applied Macroeconomics.
Dr Sunil holds a BA as well as an MA in Economics and a PhD in Development Economics from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. In addition to that he has completed MA in History from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and an MBA Degree from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. Currently he is pursuing MA in Psychology from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi.
Dr Sunil is also entrusted with key administrative responsibilities. He is currently the secretary of the college He also serves as the main warden of Chacko Hostel, the Men’s hostel of Union Christian College.
Dr. Sunil is a Quiz master and regularly conducts quiz competitions in Universities, Colleges and Schools. His area of interest is General Knowledge, General Awareness and Economics. He is also the Director Board Member of YMCA Alangad. He has a passion for music and he is an active member of Kottayam Mixed Voices, Jerusalem Marthoma Church Choir and Union Christian College Choir.
